In the other direction you can visit Coimbra, a university city bursting with history and culture. You can visit the university, shops or take a slow boat trip down the stunning river!
From Coimbra you can easily take the train to Lisbon or Porto.
Close by the complex you can also visit by train, Montemor-o-velho castle. A great example with stunning views stretching as far as the eye can see!
