Places such as mystical Glastonbury Tor and the ancient Abbey amid the Somerset Levels, towering Cheddar Gorge with its caves, villages like Nunney with its C12 castle or charming Mells untouched by time, together with many stunning National Trust properties, are all within easy reach by car.
