Within easy walking distance to the town of Bucchianico, the tranquil location of Villa Leonardo is ideal for couples, families or groups of friends to get away from it all and is conveniently located near to beaches, mountains and national parks.
The apartment has an open plan lounge/kitchen diner with patio doors leading to a private balcony with 'bistro' table and chairs. Bedroom 1 also has its own private balcony with table and chairs whilst the second double room can alternate as a twin.
A sofa bed is provided for a fifth guest if required. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is contemporary and stylish .
Guests have access to a large sun terrace and a tranquil courtyard both of which have amazing views across the countryside.
The owners are currently constructing the private courtyard on the grounds of Villa Leonardo where a plunge pool will be fitted, this will provide the perfect area to cool off and relax after a hard day sight-seeing! The courtyard area provides a perfectly secluded area whilst allowing stunning views of the nearby Majella mountains.
Villa Leonardo is a large property on the outskirts of Bucchianico overlooking the Alento valley. The villa consists of 3 apartments, two of which are available to rent individually or together (sleeps up to 3 and 5).
Both apartments have been elegantly finished, have private balconies and share a large sun terrace and secluded courtyard. The courtyard area, available from spring 2013 will provide guests with a large plunge pool, sun-loungers, tables and chairs and a BBQ.
The villa is situated in an acre of olive grove, also accessible to guests. The apartment has independent access and the English/Italian speaking owners are on hand to provide assistance, guidance and local knowledge when needed.
Every window has a different beautiful view of the valley/mountains. The balconies are ideal for breakfast and the terrace and courtyard are perfect for evening meals, drinks and relaxing.
Hammocks in the olive grove are the perfect vantage point from which to observe the family of falcons who nest on the land and regularly soar over the valley.
The typically Italian town of Bucchianico has an extensive calendar of festas and events throughout the year.
Recently constructed with the environment in mind, hot water and central heating are provided via solar panels and biomass boiler. All fixtures and fittings are new, stylish and modern. TV with DVD/CD player and USB port. A selection of books, CDS and DVDs are provided
Villa Leonardo's grounds provide ample free off street parking. We are also happy to provide free wi-fi with each rental.
We are in the perfect rural location with the town of Bucchianico only 800m away and sandy, blue flag beaches just 19km away.
The area is popular with travellers all year round: summer on the beach, winter on the ski slopes and at any time there are many opportunities for outdoor activites such as hiking, biking and climbing. For those who want to take it easy the area is rich in history and has an abundance of local winerys and farms where one can visit and sample the local produce.
The historic town of Chieti is only a 10min drive away. The vibrant city of Pescara is 25km away. Many other mountain villages are easily accessible.
The ski resort of Passo Lanciano is only 29 km away, on a clear day some ski runs can be seen from the villa!! Passo Lancicano is extremely popular with locals and significantly cheaper than the more publicized alpine resorts.
To ensure availability, families with young children should notify owners in advance should they require a high chair or cot.
