Rent either the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom(en-suite) villa which sleeps up to 7 or the 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment with private sunbathing terrace which sleeps 4. A cot and high chair are available. El Cortijuelo is located on the edge of Barriada Atalaya, Villanueva de Algaidas and is therefore, very quiet and peaceful. However, it is centrally located for the major cities of Granada with its Alhambra Palace, Cordoba famous for its Mesquita (a Moorish mosque in the centre of which is an amazing Catholic Cathedral), Sevilla which also boasts both Moorish architecture and a marvellous Cathedral, and, of course, Malaga, which, apart from its historic buildings, is also home to the Picasso museum. Villanueva de Algaidas is the birthplace of the famous sculptor Berrocal and has a museum containing some of his works. Just 28 kilometres away is the ancient town of Antequera with its prehistoric Dolmens and a castle. There is also a golf club at the Antequera Golf Hotel. To the north is Iznajar with its Moorish castle and a large manmade lake where visitors can swim, go boating, fish or simply enjoy the beach. The Costa del Sol is within easy driving distance for those who prefer the seaside. The owners are both qualified chefs and are able to offer their guests meals if required. For those who want a more active holiday we can arrange bird watching and walking trips, quad bike adventures, skiing and snowboarding days (including instruction). Shopping trips can also be arranged for the ladies. If there are any other activities you would like but we have not mentioned then please ask.
