Our Spanish Apartment in Moraira Costa Blanca North will sleep 2-4. French doors from the lounge and from the bedroom give access to a private terrace which runs across the full width of the property and reveals views of Moraira Town, mountains and vineyards. The rooftop communal swimming pool on the fifth floor and gives an interesting edge to taking a dip. The delightful town of Moraira with it's beautiful marina is just 3 minutes walk away and has many bars, restaurants and shops. The well maintained l'Ampolla beach is just a couple more minutes walk away and is a supreme example of the top quality beaches along the Costa Blanca.

Moraira Costa Blanca holds it's market every Friday in the area behind this apartment block and it is only 2 minutes walk away and can be seen from the balcony. It is an excellent market all sorts of things including gifts, toys and food. Also in the same area is a small children's fun-fare that is not too noisy, so should not disturb you too much, but it can stay open very late during the summer. The Spanish don't go out socialising until late in the summer. Because of the heat they have two to three hours sleep in the afternoon (siesta) and so are awake much later in the evening. There are street trading stalls in Moraira town, which are great to browse in the afternoons and evenings. Also in the area you will find golf, karting and tourist shops where you can book trips. The tourist information centre is only half a Km away and they speak good English. For a busier sea front L'Arenal in the neighboring town of Javea is only 15 minutes drive away and has a great beach with a more active feel and more restaurants and bars than you'll need, one will even give you a free bottle of wine with your meal! and the meal is good too!.

There is a new road at the back of the apartment which is an improvement to the coast road. It has effectively by-passed the front of the apartment which is good news. This road was completed in the year 2004, if the past is anything to go by then it will only be busy on Market day (Friday) and school time (there is a school near by). There are pedestrian crossings and also Police often on duty usually during school times for pedestrian safety.

The walk to the Town and beach is flat with no mountains or hills and you need not cross the new road above. When walking around the town there are steps and ramps in places.

Car hire would be very useful. I alway hire a car and drive from the airport. It's then very handy to pop over to Javia L'Arenal sea front for example that has some very good restaurants, shops and entertainment. Also dotted around the country roads are many restaurants, bars and shops.

There are no loungers for the pool at present. I intend to buy some soon which should be before summer 2005. There are no general use ones to my knowledge.

The apartment is on the 4th Floor and there are 3 lifts. The front of the building comes in between level 2 and 3, so there is a short flight of steps (about ten I think) either up or down (the choice is yours) to the lifts. There are about twenty steps between floors if you don't take the lift.

The pool is on the 5th floor and is accessible during certain times which are on the notice board in the 3rd floor lift area.

There is a medium size Supermarket in the middle of Moraira town, so about 2-3 minutes walk. There are also a few small grocery shops around the town that provide fresh bread and pastries. You'll also find a British restaurant bars with good food mixed in with the Spanish, Italian and Chinese restaurants. About a kilometre out of town (toward Teulada) you will find some larger Supermarkets providing all you'll need for self catering. Bear in mind that the opening/closing times are something like 9:00 - 13:00 and 16:00 - 19:00. The larger shops staty open all day, but lots of them have their siesta, also most shops are closed on Sundays.

There are plenty of banks in Moraira and the opening times are not the same as the shops. Most of them close at 13:00 or 14:00 and do not open Saturday or Sunday
