Really charming little Spanish house, called "El Dique" by the Columbian professor, Lola de Amador, who used to live there, twenty-nine years ago, when I first stayed in Fuengirola, and fell in love, with the town, and especially with "El Dique"!
Fuengorala has grown hugely in the intervening years, but my little house remains as quirky and delightful as ever.
The beach used to be at the bottom of the garden, before the Paseo Maritimo, or promenade was built. Now I fear, you must go out the gate (which locks), and down the street, a walk of two minutes, or if you run into a neighbor, and drop into Jimmy�s Bar, or go for a coffee on the Paseo, or a quick snack, or or or....
In any event the beach is always just right beside you, waiting for you. It�s Spain--- no need to rush these things.
Well all this is just fine, I�m sure you�re thinking, but what about the house.
Well, the wee house, it�s just the sort of creature where you could see a fairy living, it�s so sweet.
Now this means if "high tech." or "post modern" is your thing, forget it.
Sorry, Go to a hotel, you will not like it. I do not mean to be rude, it�s just simple truth.
However, if you like a cosy, comfortable, relaxed, laid-back,romantic sort of time, well then you�ll be in exactly the right place. Lots of people like it so much, they come back, again and again. I�ve had two rentee's ask:
"could they buy it?" already, this year.So why am I advertising if it�s so popular? Because the lady, who used to "do" for me retired,and after a lot of silliness, with the new people, which we will not go into, I decided to try it, myself, with in June 2006.
So come on, join my "regular's" and enjoy my little house!
Fuengirola�s a great town, with five miles of beach, just in town alone, which has EVERYTHING you could possibly want, need, and maybe more. The town is all flat, but backed by mountains, which means it�s warmer in winter,but not horribly hot, in summer, so it�s good for walking, jogging, dandering along, at your ease.
There are 50�odd golf courses, some championship standard, from 10 minutes to max. one hours drive, Safari parks, dolphins, donkeys, deep sea diving, all sorts going on, far too many to name.

Restaurants, markets, historical sights, skiing!, Africa, shopping, dancing, clubs, Flamenco, flamingos and oh! you�d have to be dead, not to like it here. So there.
